Intricately, hand carved wood sculpture of an Asian man.
This possibly is a representation of Wei Tuo, a Chinese Buddhist Monastery Guardian. (also known as Skanda)
According to legends, Buddha instructed Wei Tuo to guard the Dharma.
You can also sometimes find similar representations in Japanese, Thai and Korean culture.
It's very detailed and tells quite a story through the artistry of the piece.
Sizing: Approximately 4 1/4" tall
Excellent vintage condition. Exact date of origin unknown.
