Vintage Seashell adorned, heart shaped jewelry or trinket box.
Frequently called a "sailors valentine" This box was handcrafted with dozens and dozens of small shells carefully and painstakingly glues to the felt lined box.
Condition notes: This is an old vintage item with lots of history. It was also handmade from natural materials. Do expect some cracked, broken and missing shells here and there. Please see all photos. (e.g. some of the small shells along the sides are cracked. You can see some glue remnants and a little dust on the felt) Overall though it's really in lovely shape for it's age and a beautiful sentimental and artistic object.
Dimensions: Approximately 6 7/8" at it's widest point by 6 1/4" and about 2" high
